剧情简介
struggling musician Cassie faces mounting medical debt. Luke, a Marine with a chronic illness, needs the military healthcare benefits that come with marriage. They enter into a marriage of convenience: he gets healthcare, she gets the debt paid off, and they plan to divorce once he returns from deployment. Communication is limited to emails and letters. Cassie, inspired by Luke's stories, starts writing songs about their unconventional arrangement and posts them online, unexpectedly gaining fame. As their correspondence deepens, they share fears, dreams, and vulnerabilities, forming a deep emotional connection despite never having truly met. When Luke returns home injured, both must confront whether their feelings are real or just a product of their fabricated relationship.
